Club Information

Cologne Celtics GAA was established to bring the Gaelic Games to the Domstadt and to the people of North Rhine-Westphalia.
Although the club got off to a relatively slow start in a city saturated by various sports clubs, the Cologne Celtics has since developed enormously and now regularly sends teams and players to compete against the best teams in Europe in the European Hurling & Camogie and Gaelic Football Championships each season. Since 2016, the Cologne Celtics have been sending players to represent German (and other teams) teams at the GAA World Games. In 2023, the club sent nine members to represent Team Germany in Derry, with other players representing Team Benelux and Team GGE.
The club now has over 70 members and caters for men, women, and youths. Different membership options are available for players whether student, youth or full membership, and there is also a social membership option for those who want to be part of our wider community. Membership forms can be found on our club website.
So, if you would like to play Hurling/Camogie and Gaelic Football as well as have fun (or the ‘craic’ as the saying goes in Ireland) with like-minded people, then please get in touch via social media or the website. Absolute beginners are always welcome, so don’t be shy!
“Kölle…es e jeföhl!”
(Cologne/Kölsch dialect: “Cologne is a feeling”).
