Last Saturday, the 18th of March was truly a historic occasion for Gaelic Games in Europe. Both the Mens & Ladies National Gaelic Football selections of Galicia & France faced off in matches in front of 200-300 interested spectators at the Ourense University Campus. Whilst two national selections playing each other was nothing new, the fact that the games were being broadcast live on Galician television as well as streamed online was a first for European GAA.
Five camera angles, replays & Galician commentary made sure anyone watching on television or online were treated to a professional broadcast of the highest quality. The two matches did not disappoint either with all four teams putting on a showcase of Gaelic Games for all those in attendance or watching at home.
