Farewell lovely Deise, Part 2 of our 2019 World Games review

We round off our 2 part look back at the 2019 GAA World Games.  We have 4 more players sharing their memories and views, plus a behind the scenes look at the club twinning initiative that took the World of GAA by storm.

Julie Lepitre of Paris Gaels/Team France, Orlaith Duffy Zaragoza/Team Iberia Irish Ladies, Tim Wooldridge Zaragoza/Team Iberia Native Men and Robin Scheich Darmstadt/Team Germany come alive at the mention of the World Games.

Alan Barry, Secretary of Tourin Ballinwillin GAA Club recounts the journey from being invited to host a team to the build up, event and lingering fond memories.  Plus how the smallest club in Waterford played their part during the covid crisis.

And a little tip of the hat to the Deise as we end the show.

A huge thanks to all those who played, coached, managed, organised, bled, sweated and cried so that GGE showed what Gaelic Games truly are!  To John Horan, Pat Daly and his team, to the people and clubs of Waterford who made the Renault GAA World Games 2019 the greatest sports event in Ireland in 2019!  We all hope for more of the same in 2022!
