The Prague Hibernians GAA club was formed in 2009. The club name chosen by the founding members was inspired by the Prague street Hybernská, where the first of many ‘club’ pubs was located.
Mens gaelic football
Having been one of the strongest teams in the region for the last few years, in the 2022 championship the men’s team had the success of bringing home the second place trophy.
Ladies gaelic football
Have grown from a team of about three ladies 14 years ago to a thriving team that have attended all the tournaments in the past two years and in 2022 had the massive achievement of placing third overall in the 2022 regional championship – the best the Prague ladies team has ever done.
Hurling and Camogie
The hurling & camogie started in Prague only 5 years ago and started off with just 3 players at our first training in a local park. With a lot of hard work we have now grown to a full strength team competing in international tournaments. In 2023 we took away our first silverware in a GGE tournament in Dresden.
