Eintracht Frankfurt GAA was initially founded as Frankfurt Sarsfields in 2009. To date the club has fielded ladies’ and men’s Gaelic Football teams, competing annually in the Benelux Championship, the Pan-Euro Finals and the German Cup. Attracting players from the all over the Rhein/Main area of Germany, the clubs biggest sucess to date has been winning the Pan-Euro Championship at intermediate level in both ladies’ and men’s codes. The club has an ever-growing youth division and has been a pioneer on the continent in running successful Cul camps and promoting underage GAA.
In 2022 the club joined forces with the Eintracht Frankfurt Rugby division, enabling it to avail of a permanent home ground and the wide field of resources available from the Eintracht Frankfurt Sport Community. As a result of this merger, the club changed its’s name to Eintracht Frankfurt GAA. The club is a focal point of the Rhein/Main Irish community and receives wide support from the other Irish organisations and businesses in the region.
