Invite to ladies and gents junior clubs from Ireland & the UK to Gaelic Football tournament in The Netherlands in March 2018

Aimed at promoting gaelic games in Europe, The Hague (Den Haag) GAA club extends an invitation to all junior teams to join us on the weekend of March 3rd, 2018 for our 12th Annual (11 a-side) Gaelic Football Invitational.

There is no better opportunity to take a trip outside of Ireland/UK and experience the delights of The Netherlands while mixing in an enjoyable day testing yourselves against opponents from other countries in a unique format. Games are played, 11-a-side, on rugby sized pitches in action packed matches lasting between 15mins and 30mins per game. Teams battle it out in a series of group matches with the strongest contesting the semi-finals and finals! The men’s team from the Raheen’s GAA club in Ireland and the local Holland Ladies will be defending the titles they won in 2017.

Den Haag GAA club have built this event into a premier invitational tournament for visiting Irish and UK clubs. Enjoy a full day of high quality sport followed by dinner, a presentation ceremony and the best of Dutch night life. It’s always worth arriving a day early or taking an extra day, why not check out information on sights to see and things to do whilst visiting the city of Peace and Justice?  see: http://denhaag.com/en/

The Hague is easily accessible from Ireland at a very reasonable price from Dublin, Cork and Belfast. It is a 30 minute train ride from Amsterdam’s Schiphol airport (from Dublin; Ryanair, Aer Lingus and KLM and from Belfast; Easy Jet) or 1.5 hours from Eindhoven airport (Ryanair from Dublin). There are also seasonal services into Rotterdam/The Hague Airport from the UK with Easy Jet and Transavia and others.
